Who needs a static resume when you can have an interactive one...
This part of my portfolio may seem a bit meta (because of the portfolio inside of a portfolio website referencing the porfolio website), but for me, it’s one of my most rewarding projects to date. I built it not just to showcase my work, but also to push myself deeper into frontend web development. Along the way, I sharpened my skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while also experimenting with layout, design, and interactivity to make something that feels personal and uniquely mine. What started as “just a portfolio” quickly became a full-on creative exercise in both technical problem-solving and visual storytelling.
The technical side of this site was a crash course in modern web development. Using HTML and CSS, I built the site’s structure and styling from scratch, refining my ability to create responsive and accessible layouts. With JavaScript, I introduced interactivity and dynamic features to make the site feel alive rather than static. Beyond code, I also had to handle the less glamorous but equally important tasks: configuring DNS records, setting up the custom domain, and ensuring the site stayed functional across different browsers and devices. And while all of that was happening, I kept my focus on UX/UI design principles, making sure every choice — from typography to navigation — felt intentional and user-friendly.
The best part about building your own website is that it’s never really finished. This site is a living project that I can continue to refine as I grow as a developer. I plan to expand it with more interactive features, cleaner animations, and possibly backend integrations down the line. But more importantly, it will remain a place to showcase my work in a way that feels authentic to who I am as both a coder and a designer.
At first glance, this might just look like a simple portfolio website. But to me, it represents so much more — the culmination of technical skills, design choices, and persistence to make something that feels creative, functional, and personal. It’s not just a website; it’s proof that I can take an idea, work through every layer of its development, and deliver something that represents me.
